個人簡介 Personal Introduction

我的名字是鄭兆榮，出生於台灣的台北，六歲移民來美國洛杉磯到至今。我目前擔任本教會IFCBC的Music Coordinator, 詩班指揮與司琴。我從小在我母親的培養，以及充滿古典與教會聖樂的耳濡目染中長大。感謝神透過我父母，從小到大帶領我參與許多合唱團，詩班，鋼琴演奏會，並在諸多音樂老師與指揮的指導中，使我有非常健全的音樂與合唱的栽培，並使我在對教會歷史與神學的研究中，更加認識教會聖樂的發展，及歷代音樂在教會所具有的角色與地位。

願主能透過我在音樂上的帶領，使本教會每周崇拜的音樂，能透過詩班，琴樂，與敬拜讚美的提升而更加地豐富，結合現代與歷代教會聖樂的元素與架構，使所有踏進本教會的任何人，不但在神的話語與道中得著餵養，更能藉著美妙的音樂與詩歌來遇見神，經歷祂的同在。同時也藉由好的聖樂，達到培養與教育的作用，無論是把如此豐富的教會音樂資產傳承給下一代，也盼望更多弟兄姊妹能看見我們基督教信仰是進入個人與神的關係，同時也是進入史上最美又豐富的基督教文化與文明。相信神能藉此促進跨宗派的交流，進而邁向基督身為大祭司與教會之首所懇求的合一。

My name is Joseph. I was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and immigrated to Los Angeles, United States at the age of six, where I have lived ever since. I currently serve at Irvine First Chinese Baptist Church (IFCBC) as the Music Coordinator, Choir Director, and Pianist.

From a young age, I was nurtured by my mother and grew up immersed in both classical music and sacred church music. I thank God for guiding me through my parents to participate in various choirs, church choirs, and piano recitals throughout my life. Under the instruction of many music teachers and conductors, I received solid training in music and choral performance.

Through my studies of church history and theology, I have also developed a deeper understanding of the development of sacred music and the important role that music has played within the church throughout the ages.

It is my prayer that through my leadership in music, the worship experience at our church each week may be enriched through choir ministry, instrumental accompaniment, and praise. By integrating both contemporary and historical elements of sacred church music, we seek to create a worship environment that is both vibrant and rooted in tradition.

We desire that all who enter our church will not only be nourished by God’s Word, but also encounter God through beautiful music and hymns, experiencing His presence in a meaningful way.

At the same time, sacred music serves an educational purpose. It helps cultivate and pass down the rich heritage of church music to the next generation. It is also my hope that more brothers and sisters will come to see that the Christian faith is not only a personal relationship with God, but also an entry into a rich and beautiful tradition of Christian culture and history.

I believe that through these efforts, God can also foster greater unity among believers across different denominations, ultimately moving toward the oneness for which Christ, our High Priest and Head of the Church, prayed.
